Welcome to Begdale House School, which provides both day and residential placements for up to eight pupils. Set in a pleasant, rural location on an extensive plot, it provides a quiet and nurturing environment for pupils.

We offer a rich, varied and stimulating curriculum, which includes academic and vocational studies and the school has a very bright, inviting atmosphere. Our curriculum focuses on promoting Spiritual, Moral, Cultural and Physical development.

Begdale House School aims to develop pupil’s personal strengths, to promote their self-worth and become confident young people. We have strong values, these are rooted into everything that we do and these values help our pupils to progress. The school takes a pupil centred approach to learning, encouraging pupils to take ownership of their learning and progression.

The school provides pupils with opportunities to achieve nationally recognised accreditation in both academic and vocational learning.

Pupils

Begdale House School is a specialist school providing education to pupils aged 10-16 years. We are an alternative education provision for students at risk of or who have been permanently excluded from a mainstream school, this can be for a number of reasons but primarily the ones with challenging behaviours.

Pupils at Begdale House School may have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) for Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Begdale House School specialises in providing pupils with high levels of support during structured and unstructured learning. Begdale House School can adapt the curriculum to meet the pupil’s needs and offers a wide-ranging curriculum meeting pupils’ interests.

At Begdale House School, we specialise in the following subjects, Hair and Beauty (Onsite salon), Animal Care, Land Based Studies (Onsite Allotments) & Business Studies.
